These are professional athletes. They know exactly what they put into their body. To be believe anything else is just being naive.

Nate Diaz: "everybody is on steroids" steroids are not biased to one sport.

Whats absolutely absurd is how Elly nor Rich, on that podcast, have no clue what Clenbuterol is or what it does. Never heard of it, they said... Like really? I am an average joe who works out and I am aware of what PEDS are, and have some idea of which are used for which purpose. These are pro and semi pro athletes. How can you not be aware of the very thing that can and will bring their athletic career to a screeching halt? So they are tested dozens of times a year, submit urine, blood, whatever with no clue what the samples are being tested for? Its just not a good look. Its just not believable.

I know guys in their early 20s hopping on gear just to look good or just because they want to be personal trainers. So now imagine what a pro athlete would be doing for the earning potential.

All professional athletes take peds (performance enhancing drugs) at the very least. Sure, not everyone takes steroids etc but peds for sure.

No wonder I'm still struggling to lift even the RX weights, I've been eating the wrong meat all this

You don't see how clenbuterol is usefull for CF?! It allows more O2 to come in, so it raises your V02 Max, so your cardio vascular capacity is higher, and it helps you get lean, so the benefits for Cf are obvious.
Elly is in a lot of pressure this season (not qualifiilyng to the games and being left out of the Freedom team over Kristen and China Cho who is an outsider). Even a good person under this kind of pressure can sometimes choose the wrong path. This may have happen or not, but the motivation is certainly there.
As for the small quantities found, that means nothing. She could of taken it a week ago, for example. Usually it clear your system in 48 hour, but she was having hormonal inbalance (she talks about it when she refers to her period cramps issue for which she took "hippie" stuff), and this means her body was not working "normally". This and/or the "hippie" stuff she took, might have altered the way that Clenbuterol normally exits the body and, when she was tested, there were still trace amounts in her body, when normally there wouldn't be. She though she was save, but phisiology isn't an exact science and it backfired.

I went to school with Elly. She has to be the most honest and hardest working person I know of. I can't wait for her investigation to come back and show some food contamination.

The odds are that there is a steroid problem in crossfit, it is a strength and cardio oriented sport with money on the line *shrug* if they can get away with it, they will try, it has been proven in literally every sport. Doesn't mean that everyone does or is juicing, just means that it is far more common than people pretend it is.

I don’t think I’m educated enough on the topic of steroids to make an opinion on whether or not most Crossfit athletes are taking there are many female athletes that have come up to the elite level and their transformations are insane! For example, Amanda j Barnhart. Her transformation was drastic from 2017 to now.. and while I don’t know the training she does every day, nor do pictures portray an accurate representation (she could be smaller in real life), I just feel her transformation was very fast. And while I don’t get paid to workout or anything like that, I do eat well and workout at least 4 times a week and haven’t come near to those kind of results. But like I said, there are way too many factors in play and I’m not educated on it all.

The lack of a real out of competition testing system is the reason for being skeptical

the 'tiny' amount found in Kaboord's sample is actually significant in terms of drug testing, and consistent with someone taking the drug while competing haha

Clenbutoral would def help with performance. Because if she is trying to birn body fat before an event it helps cut WITHOUT losing muscle mass. So no loss of strength. Which means better performance come event day.

There was a documentary couple of years back about steroid use in icelandic gyms. And when interviewing one owner, he said its a lot more in crossfit than people think. And its slowly coming out. People getting busted. Testing getting better.

Hey John,
Just wanted to ask if you had tips for an average Crossfitter that wants to create content with CrossFit?
