Improve your screenshots with ShareX

Sending screenshots to your discord friends can be a bit boring. Having the basic screenshot without any fancy effects added to it is now out of style due to tons of gamers now using ShareX. ShareX allows you to do a whole bunch of stuff but the focus of this video is to make screenshots look better with its after screenshot effects feature.

You can select from a whole bunch of presets or you can spend a bit of time and make something of your own. A flexible and basic effect editor will make you have unique screenshots in no time.

I've been using this program for a year and it's SO useful. Especially because it has utilities like arrows and highlights (Especially when trying to TEACH a TEACHER on how to screenshare). Blur and pixelate has made my life easier

If you are a Linux user, the KDE screenshot utility also lets you capture a Window kinda like this.

But it's pretty basic outside that if you want more features use Flameshot

for anybody wondering if there's an easier way to get transparent pictures to work by pasting from the clipboard, all you have to do is click Application Settings on the main window, go to the Advanced tab, and withing the Clipboard dropdown, change both and to True (they should be, by default, False). this way, if you take a screenshot and have the "Copy image to clipboard" After Capture Task, once you paste the image onto Discord, the transparent background will work and it won't be a white color.




















if for whatever reason you changed the image format under Task Settings > Image, as in what file extension a screenshot saves in, then make sure you change this to png. dw tho, by default the app already saves screenshots in .png format so if you havent tinkered with any major settings then following the steps above will work for you.
