Scary fun .... apples to oranges ... shows there’s more than an appearance package to Jeep’s trim levels. Great video

Whew! That was intense! Love the drone shots, by the way!

You guys really need to change out the gears in your JK!!!! Those 3.73 gears have got to go. Gearing would have made a bigger difference, not lockers. The 4.1 low range of the transfer case is the best feature of a Rubicon

Can we get a stock JK rubicon and stock JL Rubicon, and do a comparison

Love it when you guys tackle the tougher stuff, but that may have been pushing the limits on that rig. Glad everybody and Tommy's Jeep are okay.

A bit hard to tell but it looked like the brake lock differential actually worked quite well. It needed tire slippage but then reacted and did not let the wheels keep spinning. Obviously a different and less secure approach than full lockers at a crawl but it did seem to work (and require a different driving style). Pretty impressive technology and glad it all worked out--although I am sure it felt a bit nerve-wracking at times!

i guess the issue is / was Big tires altered the gearing and a lift kit brings the center of gravity up enough for front wheels to become useless.

That's quite possibly the coolest looking lil' Sport I've ever seen.

Tommy's Sport proves once again you can go almost anywhere in a Jeep. The JL just makes it a little easier. I'd recommend stock TJ, JK, and JL in like configurations. That would be something to see.

Contrary to all these comments, the biggest influencing factor here was wheelbase. Not lockers, not crawl ratio, just wheelbase.

Those are some big balls in the sport wrangler.

Nathan: In a JK (2012 or later) to change the speed of Hill Descent Control use the shifter left/right to go faster or slower. My guess is this carries over in the JL.

I did it in a 1979 cj 5 that is one of the best parts of the trail

I love the new JLs over the JK. I am going to buy the JL as my first ever Jeep soon when the 2021s come out

Your first comment was more true than anything. The aired down KO2 on the Rubicon has more grip on the slickrock than some E-range 35s with 30psi. You would have been fine at maybe 15psi. The wheelbase and lockers didn't play in to the lack of grip.

Always wheel with the windows down, incase you do roll over you wont be eating the side windows when they shatter

This is more of a lockers vs. no lockers comparison. If you want to compare JL and JK it's only fair if you get both of them in the same configuration.

I know it doesn't prove much but it's still a very fun video
