A play date at one’s home is supposed to be a welcoming get together. You’re supposed to treat the other family as guests, not as customers…

Not only is this whole... thing... tacky as hell, its incredibly tacky in general to host ANYONE and then ask for money. Imagine hosting a friend for dinner and then charging them for their share of food & drinks, dish usage, bathroom usage, couch usage... i would die of embarrassment first.

INSANE!!! Not only would I have not sent any money, I would had some choice words. Playdates are cost free unless going out to eat and agreed on before hand. Never ever would I ask a parent for money when my daughter invited. My daughter's friend is a welcomed guest. That is rude and tacky.
