I used to think many of these puzzles were beyond me when I first started watching videos here, but I still give them a shot occasionally before watching to see if I get stuck.

I gave this one a go and it seems with all of the techniques I've picked up from watching, I was able to solve it in just over two hours! It may not be a speed solve, but I'm proud none the less and I have Simon to thank for that.

I love it when I use a lot of mental gymnastics to figure something out in a puzzle, and I’m feeling very clever and proud of myself, and then I watch the video and Simon shows me an easy way to see the same thing in five seconds… and my pride deflates like a popped balloon, lol. 🎈😂

47:39 for me. This was insanity.

edit: Something else that could have been done is notice that rows 3 and 4 each have 5 cells on arrows. So 15+15=30. And there are two other connected cells in column 3. Minimum values are 1 and 3. So total is 34. Only way to make that is 8989 with zero degrees of freedom. So you can remove all other digits from the two extra cells. You also know that arrows in row 3 and 4 only have digits 1 to 5. So you can remove the 6's.

Ah the day this masterpiece presented to everyone has come, I can see the joy on Simon's face throughout the video :}

(Actually from the point 13:00 you may also notice that once you concluded the quad in col 3, considering the arrows on row 3 & 4 and r2c3-r5c3 pair as the minimum required to put on them is 15+15+1+3=34, therefore those 4 circles would add up to 34 as minimum, but that's also the maximum if you put 8-9 pair on those 2 pairs of circle on 2 rows, so that must be 8-9 pairs on both of them and r2c3-r5c3 would be 1-3 pair. :} )

Great puzzle! Managed to get it out without resorting to using the video for hints. Now to watch the vid and see if he went down the same path.
