Fort Worth Zoo baby gorilla moved to Cleveland after being rejected by mother

Jameela, a gorilla born by emergency c-section, is being moved from the Fort Worth Zoo to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo after being rejected by its mother and multiple potential surrogates.

I wish the little girl all the best. If I was that Zookeeper….I would be crying my eyes out. To give away a baby whose mother you took care of throughout her pregnancy has got to be hard. I know it’s for the best but I would still be devastated to lose her .

This makes me sad! I was there last week and I have the cutest video of her playing. There was one gorilla there that was trying to keep her from bothering one of the others and stuck by her, so this news is shocking to hear. 😢. I'm glad I caught a glimpse of her playful spirit though. I could have stood in that spot and watched her play for hours.
