Jameela was successfully delivered via emergency cesarean about four to six weeks early. Her mother Sekani unfortunately showed little interest in her.
Hats off to Cleveland Zoo and Houston Zoo for teaming up to save Jameela! I'm making it point to come out there for a visit :)

Freddy adopted Kayembe when his mom rejected him. We are so hoping Freddy will take on jameela. Freddy is a very good mom!

The mother never bonded with the baby because she didn't give birth. Humans wanted to remove the baby for her. People DISGUST ME.
