They are acting, my dad knows how they do it!!" and I was like "Yes... the whole point of them is know how they do it. They are still the best magicians without pretending they are doing real magic"

I love penn and teller. Their magic tricks and explanations have allowed me to try and find different ways people use their sleight of hand and caused misdirection to fool their audiences without taking away any of the fun of the magic itself.
