Not sure if 'slower than they are' is the right perspective, i think teasing yourself is a healthier outlook...drop the breadcrumbs for yourself then your pacing yourself and not relying soley on your lover for the tension and pace, hope that makes some sense.?

Dear Mrs Loveridge, first of all, many thanks for your very helpful content. I am kinda scared right now, so I have been on a date with a girl and she liked it. However she is confused about her feelings because there are also two guys that she might like. But she said that she also liked me but is quiet unsure about it. I tend to be very fast when it comes to fall in love. So she friendzoned me and honestly told me about her confused feelings. I told her that I don‘t want a friendship and still she said that she wants to meet with me up after thinking about her feelings and she also wants to get to know me better. So short version: she is confused, she said it is too fast for her(i backed off then), I rejected her friendship offer, but still she wants to know me better and meet me.

I have a question.. usually I do not try to win a girl I know I don't see a long term relation with. Regardless of how attractive I find them to be, I usually avoid them.. so is it smart to avoid short term relations and only go for the ones I see long term potential with? because in my mind I'm thinking I could just develop more dating experience and maybe become more interesting for the long term potential one by hanging out with short term potential ones

This is not good advice playing the waiting game? No i would not do that if you feel some type of way speak up about whats the worst that could happen this is why dating sucks bc people like you give crappy advice like this you are simply telling me i have to sit around and wait for them? What if they are sitting there waiting this is terrible advice speak up about how you feel if that person doesnt like you or isnt on the same page as you move on i would not suggest playing the waiting game time is essential we could be gone at any moment
