Mini Baked Alaska (4 inch in diameter)
Ingredients: egg – 1 (egg white only), ice-cream of any flavor(s) – 1 scope, granulated sugar – 2 TBsp, banana bread/pound cake – 1 slice as the base, cream of tartar (optional) – a pinch.
Chef mol on golden hill said, "Joy from food as well as health in life can be achieved with easy ingredient, simple equipment and small portion."
1. Line a small container with plastic wrap. Then using the slice of banana bread/pound cake as the base, fill container with ice cream to rim. Seal and freeze for at least 4 hours.
2. Warm up egg white over stove top. Add cream of tartar (optional which helps stabilizing the egg white for beating) and granulated sugar. Stir to mix, continue to do so after turning off heat until well combined.
3. Beat egg white mixture until stiff peaks form – meringue.
4. Spread meringue around and on top of frozen banana bread/pound cake with ice-cream. Form pattern on top with a spatula.
5. Brown the top with a food torch.
