Can't stress how good this soundtrack is.

Jerry is a musical genious in every way, from dawn of time, scifi, history, fantasy, horror, terror, romance, feelings, mystery and even humor, it takes a genious, thankyou Jerry.

FUN FACT:

Some hints from this soundtrack were already composed and even used by Goldsmith a year before 'Gremlins' - the "Nightmare at 40, 000 feet" segment of "Twilight Zone - The Movie" has a Gremlins cue.

No wonder. The segment is about a plane being torn apart in midair by gremlin :)

This is wonderful to finally get the full soundtrack, in order, to one of my favourite films. What an important soundtrack to me as it served as my introduction to Quarterflash with Make It Shine, one of my all time favourite songs, I could never fully explain why it is so important to me or why this film resonates so much but it is and it does. Thank you so much for finding this, it’s wonderful.

I would love to have someone who knows nothing about the movie sit down and listen to this score, and then guess what the movie is about.

No disrespect to John Williams, but he only became the greatest living composer when Jerry Goldsmith passed away. Jerry had magic ears; he could hear things the rest of us couldn't.

The solo voice in the beginning from ''The Little One'' is the Yamaha DX7 synth voice preset. You can even hear if you listen closely the sound of the player hitting the keyboard in the background. Also the bells and brass sounds you hear in the first part of the soundtrack are from the legendary DX7.
