Anyone convicted of this should get a minimum of a solid 10-year imprisonment sentence. They couldn't lie and say they didn't know what they were doing.

I purchased a vacant commercial lot, and the title company informed me they would mail the title once all payments were processed. However, they sent it to the vacant lot instead. When I went to the county to update the owner's mailing address, they didn’t even ask for ID; they simply switched it to the address I provided.
About a year later, a surveyor showed up at my home, claiming someone had asked him to survey my property and hadn’t paid him. I advised him to contact the police. When I visited the lot—which was for sale at the time—I noticed the for sale sign had been removed, but not by the surveyor. It’s clear that people need to start holding the county and title companies accountable through lawsuits.

Seeing the same people come into a clerks office to claim multiple properties is a the biggest RED flag so it's safe to assume that all of those entities are in on the scam of this type of fraud wouldn't be so simple to do in various states.

The Cook County Clerk allowed a scammer to file a fraudulent mechanics lien against my home in the amount of $80, 000. This scammer made allegations that he rewired my house, replaced all the plumbing and replaced the roof. This scammer did NOT file any licensure nor city permits and no contract.
