Captain Sim 777 Review | Microsoft Flight Simulator

These are my FIRST impressions of the Captain Sim Boeing 777 add on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

Despite a fairly well modelled exterior and low price point, we would not suggest purchasing this aircraft unless you require it for content creation or if you specifically need a 777 in the simulator ahead of PMDG's release. This is mostly due to the characteristics of the 747-8i being present, but also due to the unfortunate takedown request to creators publishing liveries for the aircraft on FlightSim.To.

Captain Sim has a special place in my heart due to their products on FSX, we did at one point make contact with the developer to do some reviews, however when researching for this venture we decided against it due to the community outcry regarding their approach to creators developing liveries for their products.

My thoughts in this video are my very first initial impressions of the product, and are not structured in a way. In the future we may create a full review of the addon, let us know if this is something you would like to see! Their current sale means I picked this addon up from marketplace for just £12.50.

We don't expect captain sim to simulate all systems but at least a good taxi, decent sounds and a decent flare.
I hope they update it.

In my FSX days I bought their 757 and 767. In both aircraft the displays didn't work. After paying 25-30 quid a piece I vowed never to buy a Captain Sim product agsin.

I wanted to buy it on sale for 15€, but really if they are so stupid and lazy that they cant remove the 2 extra engines (if they are using the 747-8i) I wont do it. If they would put some effort to it - it could be very nice aircraft somewhere at the 1/2 or 1/3 price point of pmdg 777 and it would find its own customers...
