REGARDING the sound issue: A very kind viewer pointed out that it’s the SaltySimulation mod that conflicts with it, that is still ridiculous as they’re meant to be two different aircraft and shouldn’t affect each other!

Although Captain Sim are known for some pretty sketchy quality control, this is a new low for them. They do have a habit of rushing things out just so they can beat other developers to market - and the pricing of $30 is unusually low for them, probably because they know it's full of holes. Let's hope PMDG won't take too long with their 777!

Taking a look in dev mode, the flight model is straight from the 747. Hence it is hard to take off

I've had Captain Sim products in the past and they have been pretty good. Perhaps they are following Microsoft and Asobo's lead and releasing half finished product. Imagine if other industries did this. Buy a car and they finish putting on the doors and wheels later, buy a house and they put a roof on later and so on. These developers need to shape up.

And now Captain Sim are sending out cease and desist letters to sites that host repaints of it. They are claiming any third party repaints belong to them. Companies like this need to be weeded out.

The sound works, but be aware! -> if you have the salty mod for the 747 installed, it will not work. The IRS will not work.

I admit, I bought it, because years ago Captain Sim had quite a good reputation. But I am speechless

I really love aircraft that come with fully modelled cabins like this, its unfortunate that this addon sucks, I hope PDMG or another developer add a nice cabin to their aircraft, that would be amazing

You don’t need to apologise for anything. You did an honest review and that’s all that matters.

Personally I would never buy another Captain Sim product again. My first experience with them was their P3D version of the 777. I had already owned the PMDG 777 for FSX. When I moved to P3D I didn’t want to have to pay €130 to PMDG again so I took a chance with their 777. Admittedly it was only about €20 so I wasn’t expecting miracles. But to say that it was awful is an understatement. I tried flying it once and I never took it out again. Full of bugs and really poor textures in the cockpit. Easily the worst addon I ever purchased. They later released a 757 (I think it was) and it had bad reviews from the start. Full of game breaking bugs, although it did look quite good visually. And I think they fixed most of those bugs eventually.

I really hope this doesn’t go on the market place. It would set a really bad precedent if it did, because I would have assumed that in order for a product to make it onto the market place it would need to be rigorously tested. Having rubbish like this on the market place would lose a lot of credibility for Microsoft/Asobo.

Personally I feel like I will never buy a Captain Sim product again. Using the 747 systems is an absolute cop out. And if I’m honest, while the exterior looks well modelled, those cockpit textures are very washed out looking.
