POSGuy Travis shows how to open your cash drawer without the keys. If your receipt printer breaks and you have lost the keys than this is one option. The best option of course is to reorder your keys but this will work for when you need to open the drawer faster. Since reordering your keys is the best option we also show how you can tell what keys your cash drawer requires.

You can take this process and apply it to other cash drawers. The color of the wires in the cash drawer cables may vary so you will need to experiment to find which ones work.

In some models there are also small hole under the cash box where you can manually with your hand open the box :-)

dont cut the cable, just use a lan cable and wire 6&7 to battery works perfectly . the original cable is a bit hard to make as it is a rj6 to rj45

I have a square stand and we are paperless. After a transaction it does ask if you would like a receipt sent via text or email. Will this be comparable without a printer connected?

Dumb question, I bought an IBM SurePOS 750 from a local K-Mart (Since they were closing, got it for just $20 USD.), but it didn't come with the key, and I need to open the chassis to put a hard drive in it. How would I go about ordering a key? The lock has the number 9952, and according to IBM website, I need key number 9202.
