Maybe this story is embellished or whatever but damn can I see it happening. But setting that aside, in regards to the parents going "We kept you alive, you owe it to us, " here's the thing; providing food, clothing, and a home to someone doesn't make you a parent, it makes you a pet owner. You can do literally all those things to an animal you find off the street, and you wouldn't expect that pet to work to earn you a living for you, would you? So don't expect a literal fucking human being to do it for you.

I’m gonna have to call bullshit on this one. My brother, at age 11, had to drop sports since he played 5 because of finances. If your parents are paying for you to pay 6 that’s probably why they aren’t getting you anything else. Sports are expensive as hell
