Black Professionals KICKED OUT Of Orlando Restaurant For EATING TOO SLOW | Roland Martin

Orlando police were called on a group of Black professionals at DoveCote restaurant in Orlando, Florida because they were taking too long to finish the food and drinks.

Roland Martin spoke with Stephanie Tolbert and Leon Gantt about their experience at DoveCote restaurant in downtown Orlando.

Can’t the lawsuit include slander due to the owner’s son spreading the falsehood that the group couldn’t pay for their food? For clarity, per Britannica:

I’m a firm believer in financially boycotting businesses that do not respect black customers or treat them with dignity and like their welcomed at your establishment. I was so happy to see the way those officers handled the situation with such professionalism and compassion wish we had way more like them.

Im a server. Have been for 16 years along with having 2 businesses. But ive never had a problem with anyone who come in our restaurant and sit for hours. I feel like when people go out to have lunch or dinner and even breakfast they do it because its free time. And they wanna enjoy it with the company that they come with. You never know what people have going on or are going through. Ive had a table sit for 5 hours and walked out leaving a 400 tip. Stop running away paying customers. Treat them like family, show them why your restaurant is worth there time and money. I love giving an experience to my customers ❤️💯

After watching the story about the black professionals being kicked out of the Dovecote Orlando restaurant I read about the restaurant and was shocked to find that it was as a “French inspired “ restaurant. Obviously, the people who own and run the restaurant have never dined in France where in fact, there is no time limit on your restaurant visit and in fact, there is never a complaint that you spent 1 1/2, 2 1/2 even three hours dining in the establishments. The restaurants are set up such that they only expect one I repeat one table sitting each night. When American tourists visit the restaurants in France and quickly gobbled down their meal and leave it is a financial bonus that that table will have more than one sitting. Tourists often complain that “when are they going to bring the bill “ in France. If you do not ask for the bill, they will not bring it to hustle you out of the restaurant like end the US.
