I'm an aircraft mechanic, this one day I taxied a 737ng, A321, 737max A321neo, and a 787...all the same distance and roughly same times. I burned 300LB of fuel on 737ng and A321, burned 140LB of fuel on max and neo, and 300LB of fuel with the 787. Hopefully this will give some understanding of the fuel savings and advantages of MAX, NEO and 787.

Fun fact! The fuselage of Max-7 is 3 meters (9 feet) longer than The Boeing 737-700, the length of the Max-7 is basically the same as the older Boeing 737-400 from the Classic family.

So I would say the Boeing 737 Max-7 is based on the -400 rather than -700.

B738 has been a my favourite for a long time, even surpassing the B744.
I love the look of the Max Series, with the scimitar winglets and the chevron cowlings. I think the look and size of the 8 is perfect, as well as being the best between range and capacity. I look forward to seeing them back in the skies, and for a decent iteration in the new Flight Simulator.

Mine is the 737-700 . Very fine looking baby Boeing flying about up to 200 seats from small airports to all over the world

The graphic for the MAX 10 is exaggerated. The difference in length between the MAX 9 and MAX 10 is only 5’4”. The graphic makes it look like it’s 10-15 feet.

I just heard pilots have to retrain for the 737 Max 8 and 9. If that is true, why not just get rid of the MCAS? Wasn't the whole purpose of the MCAS to avoid the training? I keep wondering why they grounded a plane for so long that could fly just fine if there was training and the MCAS disabled...

A 737-MAX 6 (a replacement for the -600) would be good for long range. Though I am not suprised that it was never developed
