Every time I think about the fact that he's no longer with us, it feels like a sucker punch to the gut -- every single time! He didn't deserve to check out at such a young age, and Lord knows how much more music was waiting inside him -- just waiting to be recorded. Lord God, please have mercy on his soul, and let him know he'll always have fans down here on Earth praying for him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jani, in Fla. After sitting with him at he bar I offered to buy him beer and he said " No thanks" I made a promise to a lot of ppl. I need to keep that promise but thank you.  I told him no thank you, for helping me through the hard times with the inspiration songs. I shook his hand and he said, song writing is not hard, "Its loving what you do that makes it easy, keep rockin, until the next gig later.  God bless ya  Jani

In 1991 I saw Warrant play in Daytona Beach and after the show they were hanging out at a bar named Finkys and I got to talk to him for about an hour back stage and after getting his autograph I told him I had met Jimi Hendrix at the Filmore East in NY in 1969
back stage and all Jani wanted was to hear about how it was to meet Jimi? He was such a nice guy it was like talking to a friend not a rock star! I also met C L snare (singer
from fire house who opened for Warrant) but I will never forget the hour I spent with him
because Warrant was my favorite band and Jani was my favorite singer and If I knew he
was going to die so young I would have smacked him in the head several times to knock
some sense into him! I miss him so much but just like Hendrix If there going to self
self destruct why didn't there families see it coming and get them help? Jani had a family which means he should have had a support system? Oh well its to late now but
I wish I could have helped him! I still listen a lot to Warrant and have always said that Dog Eat Dog is one of the most underated albums of all times! Like Jani said on DED
