I went to Kenya with my grandfather when I was about ten. I have pictures of my grandfather dancing with the Masai like this. Being in the Masai Mara was probably the coolest experience I've every had in my life. We spent about a week camping out in a tent. My Grandfather actually went back to help teach a local school. I hope I can get back to Africa one day! There's so much to see and the diversity is amazing. the birthplace of all humanity ✌️❤️

I love the Maasai people❤💪🏾 they are one of the most well known African tribes. Their jumping tradition is also found amongst other Nilotic groups in east Africa, and one thing to note is that Nilotic people are more slender and VERY tall people, definitely the tallest group the planet. What I find really cool as a Cushite is the Cushitic elements in their culture like the chanting, this seems like a warrior culture similar to us Cushites although of course we have our differences. I learned that Maasai people are actually a direct mix of Nilotic and Cushitic from ancient times which is proven genetically through autosomal DNA and haplogroup markers. Anyways, love to all my east Africans💯

This is so amazing, the height they can jump to with what looks like minimal effort is impressive. Also it's just beautiful

I used to live in Kenya as a child. We met a lot of Masai and watched them perform their dances and jumping contests and songs in Mombasa, it was wonderful.
