About 3 years ago, my local TS had full jobsmart socket sets on clearance for 3.99 and 4.49 for 1/4dr and 3/8dr metric and sae. Grabbed duplicate sets for myself since it was such a great price.

Some time ago they had a clearance on the ratcheting wrenches set...it was a YMMV but it happened..i would of tried for 50 bucks...i heard their screw drivers were junk...i picked up a set of hex wrenches for like maybe 10 bucks. Pretty good for me so far

I got the gearwrench set both SAE and Metric wrenches for $50 in November.

I'm super bummed Craftsman cut the cord on their USA plants. Literally waited several years only to be disappointed.

Our Tractor Supply has Mayhew and Channellock tools, too. What people don't know if you don't have a Do-it-Best they carry Channellock they do offer other main drive tools besides pliers. They are pretty good quality. My guess is Tractor supply could be picking up Channellock brand.

Say what you want about Pittsburgh but I bought 2 sets of their half inch impact sockets 5 years ago back when I was a tire tech I beat on them every day with half inch pneumatic impacts pulling lugs off mainly full size pick ups because of the area I am in. I have never broken one and I still have them 5 years later now I am a heavy line tech I have been working for 2.5 years 50 hrs a week. I upgraded to Cornwell sockets and leave them in my pick up but still.

TSC will do big clearance sales time to time. Especislly after Xmas. This year i saw some cheap Bosch power tools. The Jobsmart stuff is good enough - a cheap way of acquiring SAE or larger tools (big wrenches, impact or 3/4" sockets).

I bought a 1-7/16" wrench to do a fan coupling for cheaper than the parts store tool.

Oh and by the way all ordering is done by the corporate offices the stores themselves dont have much control of what comes in or when
