I’m a new gardener and zinnias are my first flowers to bloom. They are beautiful. I can’t wait to see all of them bloom.

Wow, the colors are amazing! Thanks for the tips on how to make zinnias produce more blooms! All the colors growing near each other makes it look like a little fairyland - so pretty it's hardly real! Thanks Kim!

My son and I decided to try our hand at a veggie garden. We picked out some seeds and he picked out zinnias before we checked out. Veggie garden was cool but the best was his zinnias that exploded and still doing great! We are def getting more colors for next year. Ty for this vid

Just a tip for those collecting seeds- they are arrow shaped, and 2 different sizes. The disk floret seeds are much smaller than the seeds from the ray florets, and once the flower head is bone dry, you can confirm they are ready for harvest by the very dark brown color of the seeds. I don't know the accuracy of it, but I've heard that the ray florets are more likely to produce hybrid seeds, and the disc florets are more likely to be true to type. Great selection. Thanks for sharing! I learned a bit too late about pruning and each plant only grew one flower for me. Next year 😊

Love my zinnias! My favorite thing is to save their seeds and share them with my friends.

Zinni is one of the most prolific flowers in my garden. As you said, the colors, shapes and sizes are so exciting. I have beds full of them both in my back and side yards. Unfortunately I don’t have much of a front yard.

Love your video and love the tips. I grew some last summer and spotted an American goldfinch. It’s the only time I’ve ever had a bird visit my zinnias.

Hi! Thank you so much for the informative and timely video. I bought your Zinnia seed collection and planted mid June. More and more are now coming out in blooms. It is such a beautiful and colorful flower. I have never grown them before. Thank you for letting us know how to get more blooms! They’re definitely a keeper and one to grow again and again!

Other than sunflowers zinnias are the only flowers that I have in my garden and I have so many different varieties and I have them planted all over my garden and along my fence line and I like to save the seeds so I get way more flowers the next time.

They are so beautiful, and fun to grow! This is the first year I have grown them and they look awesome! I have a lot of pink ones and the other day, this huge gigantic butterfly was flying around them... But then my dog walked past and she has a pink collar exactly the same pink as the zinnias... So that butterfly went after her collar...lol! My poor 70 lb pitbull was scared half to death by the butterfly and it was sooo funny watching that big powerful dog running like crazy with her tail tucked between her legs from a butterfly!!! Lol!!! I wish I could have gotten it on video!!!

If you cut zinnias to the ground with about 6 inches left, will they grow back?

How long does it take to produce another bloom after cutting? Needing for a baby shower & afraid to cut them and not have any flowers for the shower.

The hummingbirds love zinnias, too! It’s so fun to watch them visit every morning and evening right outside my kitchen window. Thanks for the tips in this video! This is my first year growing them and they’re kind of out of control lol.
