BMW Z4/e85 3.0i manual - Delete Clutch Delay Valve / CDV Delete

A detailed look at how to remove the CDV from my 2006 BMW Z4 3.0i.
Result: removing the CDV (aka Lock valve) gives a noticeable change in clutch performance, but not like life-changing. Is it worth doing? Probably - it ends up being pretty easy.
Of course you should safely & securely lift your vehicle, and wear eye protection when you’re under the car.
Forgive me for not showing the actual wrenching…I didn’t have enough hands and space.
I did not need to bleed the clutch since I only lost 2 drops of fluid, but I did so anyway just to move the old fluid through and replace with new Pentosin DOT4. Clutch fluid is the same as brake fluid, but comes out of one corner of the brake fluid reservoir.

Didn't expect it to change much, but the difference was huge! Thanks so much for this guide!

Thanks for your very clear and concise explanation of exactly how to do this. Just been under my Zed doing this and I had your video playing throughout. Now to take it out for a drive!
