Batman Arkham Knight 2nd chance: PC (incl. Mini Patch) vs. PS4 vs. Xbox One. PC has now Ambient Occlusion and Rain Textures. No performance improvements afaik.

Good news! a first 67 MB patch is available for Batman Arkham Knight on PC adding Ambient Occlusion and Rain textures, removing 30 FPS cap!

So... The console version runs AND looks better than the freaking PC version?! Wow!

Is there a lighting effect missing in XO version during the comparison at 3:33 ?

Just got my copy refunded by steam. The performance was awful and I am running a GTX 980 and i7 4790k....more than enough.

Did PC have Ambient Occlusion off? At 1:00 you can see in the console versions there is occlusion happening where her clothes meet her neck, but not in the PC version? There are other instances of this like Batman's belt at 4:35.

Nice comparison video, good job!

The developers did a great job all around.  The game looks awesome no matter where you play it.  Gamers win!

Even with the lack of ambient occlusion, the 60fps makes all the difference. I prefer less effects but smooth life-like fps. But I know this is not the only problem with the PC version, there's the frame rate drops and stuff. I hope a patch comes soon.

A lot of things look the same on a lot of games when comparing PS4 to PC or Xbox. If the game was originally designed with, for example, PS4 specs in mind, the developers won't go out of their way to make higher res textures(another example) just for the PC release. They do sometimes but when they do it's very rare. It's easy to spot which games are designed to run on PC and then ported to the other consoles. Two which spring to mind are "The Division" and "Battlefield 4". Obviously designed for use on a PC and then ported to consoles, game play wise, it makes no difference, you're too busy aiming to give a crax about how that flag is flapping in the wind. Even the 30fps caps become unnoticeable after a while.

That awkward moment when you can't see any visual differences between the three.
