Thank you, very helpful. Switching to studio driver fixed the issue for me.

Got R9 5900X and 2080 ti. I have been using the studio drivers for a while now and I normally have a few more fps than with game ready. I usually stream but that's not why I use the studio drivers. It usually has fewer updates and that is a plus and they serve the same purpose. In the end, for me, it's better.

I don't work with Adobe or After Effects, im just a gamer. I've done benchmarking and the results are obvious... Studio drivers provide a substantial boost to benchmark scores compared to the the game ready drivers.

No one makes it clear. My guess:
Studio drivers only update when there is an actual reason for it. Like they fixed bugs or made some tweaks for better performance and then maybe every few months when people have beta tested the game ready drivers, they bring those game updates.

While game drivers get updates first and for new games. New changes in the game drivers have a possibility to ruin something else than can make your non game apps to misbehave but you can play new games with new drivers.

Me, I haven't ever installed the Studio drivers. I haven't bought a newly released game since I was... maybe never? So I don't care for new games yet. Whatever I play has been out for years.
I do create stuff and edit. I don't think I've ever had an issue with game drivers.. but I don't know if that's true. I doubt there is any difference in performance, only that the studio drivers are made for those who don't want an update every other week for no reason and it may make your professional app crash or something...

So now nvidia's new app came out of beta and it prompted me to install it and choose studio or game. Maybe I'll try studio for once. I always skipped updates because it felt like spamming for new games that I never buy, so now maybe I will get only updates that matter to me and not every week. Unless I ever get a newly released game then, gg no re.

Perfect, thank you so much for the info! Had the same problem when I was trying to work on an animated project in After Effects. But I also play games, lol.

Couldn't fix the error. My Graphics Card, Nvidia Geforce gtx 765m doesn't have an available studio driver download. Just Game Ready Driver.
Does installing another version of premiere fix the error?

For me actual is only games recording and I experience some frame freezes on recorded videos, while game shows everything smoothly & fine during gameplay. I supposed that issue was with slower SSD, so moved game on M.2 bus SSD, but issue still exist, during recording on high resolutions like 2, 5K, what looks like additional load of files what cause freeze during gaming and recording. I then found that people suggesting to switch GAME MODE OFF for it, as some had issues with OBS, but I use Shadowplay, and now I'm interesting regarding NVIDIA drivers, which is best for games recording, not for gaming itself? Maybe you know, but probably not. I'm trying to solve issue on pretty new PC with pretty old games which have them like SWTOR or Duke Nukem Forever, with let's say RTX 4070 Super Ti & CPU with 24 cores, what is more than enough for such old games, but I getting poor video recording, no matter that on screen everything is shown well and smoothly...

100% this because premier pro has all sorts of issues with effects using the game driver

Its kinda bs that they make 2 different drivers. I mean, both games and creative apps use GPU a lot.

Just use GRD, that’s it. Is just that simple. Studio at times more in beta while game ready is the best of both worlds, and more stable in the long run.
