Day 14 update after cutting a 6 foot tall musa basjoo banana plant to the ground

Here’s an update 14 days after I cut a 6 foot tall musa basjoo banana plant to the ground.

At day 14, the banana plant is about 2 feet tall now. It’s starting to leaf out and has a new, full leaf coming out of the center.

It will be interesting to see how this next leaf develops since the plant was 6 feet tall and the leaves were about 3 feet long when I cut it down.

I cut two of mine down before winter and one has two pups and the other has no growth yet, any thoughts on revival or do they just take a bit sometimes
