The Most Insane Medium Tank

The Swedish Strv m/42 DT or Delat Torn is probably my all-time favorite medium tank in War Thunder. With potent APHE rounds and a rapid 3.0s reload rate, it makes for the perfect ambush vehicle. It is also fairly versatile, though the armor is not good at all. Gaijin did nerf its replenishment since the last update, however.

I always wonder if this thing is considered to be an open-top by the game when it comes to overpressure. If yes, that KV-2 got tremendously Gaijin'd.

The pen for the APHE used to be like 15mm lower. The change made a big difference between front penning most things and not front penning most things. Really got it over that threshold.

Probably the reason your APHE is so inconsistent is because a while back Gaijin did an experiment to make APHE shells more accurate (i.e, exploding in a cone instead of a sphere), and some swedish APHE shells were the test subjects of this, but it never went anywhere, however those shells do still have the cone effect

the Chinese PT-76 was actually the og PT-76 with no stabalizer, easily identifiable by the different muzzle break

I remember the good 'ol days when the Delat's ammo rack magically moved outside the tank every time you turned the turret. I had some *really* wacky deaths to that crap.

A fun April fools patch would be to have turret collision. Barrel can hit walls, and all that. Would make bushes not go through your optics as much

If I'm not mistaken, the T-34E was either designed for urban warfare or to resist HEAT-shells.
Edit: And what makes it worse is that the truck shot You through the cargo crate, something that most vehicles can't shoot through.

A very handy feature on the DT is that the loader can just directly shove shells into the breech if your first stage runs out. It takes about 7 seconds but it means you don't have to wait for the autoloader to restock to *then* load the gun. Especially in situations where you need to fire more than 4 shells. SO you don't need to fear that you'll be caught unable to reload just because your first-stage is empty.

Not sure if anyone has ever mentioned it or not Spooks, but I appreciate your use of hit sound effects that were used in Team Fabulous 2, it's a lovely reminder every time I hear them <3

Speaking of memories though, I would love to see you try the T29 again now that a lot of time has passed since its introduction - I still remember that old video of yours about it dropping down the drain of premium vehicles instead of the tech tree lmao

Spookston that PT-76 you killed at 4:52 was the Chinese variant, which lacks a full stabilizer.

This is one of my favourite swedish vehicles. When i got it, almost immediately i got a talisman for it in a chest lol, so i grinded through all of swedish tier 3-4. Then came the strv 103-0, which is fantastic, grinded through the rest of Sweden with it, u should definitely try it i think😁

This alongside the Pvkv 2 is hilariously fun. Strv m/42 DT plays very well in close quarters since you can easily bait people with your low reload time, and the Pvkv 2 is excellent for long distance shots.

I started the Sweden line and so far it's been an enjoyable experience. Can't wait to try this out when I can.
