Is Spirited Away As GOOD As They Say It Is?

After being highly disappointed with 2023's The Boy And The Heron, I wanted to give beloved animator Hayao Miyazaki another chance to win me over by watching 2001's Spirited Away, which is supposedly his magnum opus, and one of the greatest animated movies ever made in general. Well, I'll be the judge of that...

Apparently if it’s not fast paced it’s boring to Zerex, but if it is fasted paced, it’s SKIBIDI TOLIET brainrot. It feels weird dude.

There actually are themes of greed. With the parents eating the buffet that wasn’t for them and they turn into pigs. No face offers gold to the spa workers as they were consume by greed, and No Face himself also gets consume with greed with how much food he takes and turns vicious, not until he regulate the foods and the gold turns to dirt is when he calms down and becames nicer.

Overall this is not a bad review on the film, it’s certainly better then another certain spirited away review *couph* *couph* Bobsheuax *couph*

Honestly Spirited Away isn't really my favorite of one of his movies either. I mean, it's still a wonderfully creative masterpiece that is also the very first anime I have ever watched in my life. But it still is not my favorite. Honestly, my favorite movie of his is My Neighbor Totoro. I think you should watch that one next. But still, either of them are a hell of a lot better than Puss in Boots or Spiderverse, that's for sure! Honestly almost anything is better than that crap.

I too was disappointed when seeing it because i heard people say "it was the next spirited away" and there were no scenes that even came CLOSE to the emotional weight of the train scene in spirited away. i loved the animation and all, but it's nothing special compared to miyazaki's other works.
