The McRib has returned to McDonald's UK. This is the first time it's been back since 2016. It features a Pork Patty, Onions, Gherkin and BBQ Sauce in a soft bun.

I am surprised how little sauce they used. It used to be bathed in the thing before it was put on the bun.

For those wondering, Ecosure (the fuckedup health inspection agency) has mandated the McRib no longer be submerged in a sauce pot (some McD's do it differently, ours used to have this double boiler that we had all the sauce in and submerged all the mcrib in until serving, not in the yellow plastic trays). they are required now to be "squeeze bottled" applied, and NOT oozing or messy. Extra sauce will cost extra. You can thank "God's Chosen Goblins" for this mess, I kid you not!!! These people hate pork to begin with, now they are ruining it for the rest of us.

As a 35 year old who's been going McDonald's since childhood I remember the first McRib. This was a massive disappointment. I'm definitely not getting it again.

I must have been lucky today as I think I had enough sauce on my McRib to feed the entire nation 😅 My biggest gripe, though, was how thin the McRib meat was. I'm sure they used to be much thicker, and whilst not tough, the older versions just had more 'chew' to them.

Would I buy another, probably not.

Real shame. I've been waiting on these coming back for years. Walked into mcdonalds and saw another person eating it and walked out. Looks like a flip flop on a bun. No sauce dripping at all.

They used to marinate the meat now just slap sauce on not the same as it was 20 years ago

I've never tried one but I live in the Southern part of the US and it's easy to find a real BBQ pork sandwich at a BBQ restaurant here...thankfully, from the looks of the McRib...😊

Used to be my favourite thing on their menu, wouldn't give it a 2 star now. It's like their staff forgot how to make them properly. Bland, dry and overpriced.

I’m a big Maccies fan and quite defensive of them, but this was just not good enough. Not a patch on the old one. No better than a Rustlers rib. Won’t be having it again.

I was disappointed. The way they make it changed, the patty use to be thicker and it use to be soaked in sauce now they just put a bit of sauce on the bun and the sauce is different, it use to be a red colour and tangy, now it's not tangy and now a brown colour and more smoky typical bbq sauce.
