On Google DeepMind Challenge Match 3, DeepMind's program AlphaGo defeated Lee Sedol (9-dan pro, the top Go player of the past decade). The match took place in Seoul on 12 March 2016. Match commentary by Michael Redmond (9-dan pro) and Chris Garlock. The Google DeepMind Challenge prize of $1 million USD will be donated to UNICEF, STEM and Go charities.

How did he show that he resigned? Was that by putting a white stone on the board? Or by just not playing before the time was up?
