Lee Sedol beats AlphaGo!

On Google DeepMind Challenge Match 4, Lee Sedol (9-dan pro, the top Go player of the past decade) defeated DeepMind's program AlphaGo. The match took place in Seoul on 13 March 2016. Match commentary by Michael Redmond (9-dan pro) and Chris Garlock.

It’s wonderful to see how lee sedol didnt want to get up. He was so deeply engrossed in the game he wanted to go back to a previous position and discuss it with his second.

Given how many millions of games the AI played able to gain a positional understanding with a depth search that humans can't come close to, this was one of the most unbelievable upsets in history.

That 78 move was historical. Every pro was shocked when lee did that... In Go they call it 신의 한 수 (神之一手) 'A skill of god'.

Computer learned 2 thousand years history of Go game and it became perfect. But Lee could break it. Lee is the one who defeated 2 thousand years master.
