Ho sentito la sua voce per la prima volta a 15 anni e, non sono mai più stata la stessa. Amo questa donna. Lei era cuore ed anima. Un' uragano dentro ad una rosa. ❤❤❤❤😢

Thanks for doing Summertime. I suggested a while ago as well as her performance at Monterey Pop. Both Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin were introduced or discovered at that festival. Both AMAZING performances. You won’t regret it!

Janis had a very rare polyphonic quality to her voice--and you can hear it at times in this song, esp the live version--where she is actually singing overtones of multiple notes, at one time. This is something Tibetan monks train for years to do in their religious chanting. Janis was a force of nature and a freaking goddess!

She gave all of her heart and soul on every song

Janis was the walking, talking, performing, living embodiment of music and soul. Straight up. If music and soul were a living being, they would be Janis.

She sang from her soul. Her bluesy whiskey coated voice stretching every note as she poured her heart out. Love her!!! Many great songs in her catalog

Janis had a beautiful soul and showed it in her singing! What passion! She has a live performance at the Monterey pop. The woman in the audience is mama cass from the mamas and the papas. Almost forgot the song is ball and chain.

She didn't have to be all dolled up, showing all that she had like todays women singers do. She just wanted to sing her heart out and that's what she did. She is the female goat. Thank you Janis.

A truly beautiful song by Janis is Little Girl Blue! Pure smooth heartfelt singing! From the Kozmic Blues album. The first album I ever bought way back in 69 or 70!

Saw her at the Monterey Pops back in the 60s along with a lot of other excellent artists.
