I visit England frequently in Yorkshire. I have never been to London. But let me tell you, I have NEVER met nicer people than in Leeds. I go to Leeds festival every year. I kid you not - I’ve been all over America and the people in England are freaking awesome!! I met some really nice guys that helped me and some friends I know cherish from my festivals in England. I always make sure I tip a lot when I’m in England. Such lovely and amazing, honorable people. Seriously. One British man saved my life from a scary ass foreign dude that wanted me in harms way. I will never stop loving the British people. You all are resilient and beautiful.

Why do American citizens even need a visa in the first place? We're practically a US colony anyway. You can't drive 15 mins in any direction without going past another flipping McDonalds, KFC, Starbucks, Costas or Subway. You can't watch TV without Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, Amazon Prime TV, or Paramount staring you in the face. You can't make a call without using an Android or Apple Phone. You can't make a payment without it going through Visa, Mastercard, Amex or Paypal. And almost every brand, store or product that you think is British has been bought out by US private equity.

Britain PLC was sold off wholesale to the US and meanwhile we've been told to stand at the shores of Dover and stare through binoculars at immigrants crossing the channel. What a bait and switch. But hey. The US sharelolders have been getting bumper dividends at our expense so who cares?

We might as well start having Black friday sales, celebrate Haloween and have a holiday for thanksgiving as well.

Sir Ed is superb. People don’t necessarily realise that he is as incisive and sharp as any MP before him (excluding the legendary Mo Mowlam, who sliced the leaders in the meetings that led to the Good Friday agreement in single sentences)
