How to Shorten a 2' Faux Wood Blind with Looping Lift Strings

I bought Levelor blinds several years ago. The directions were so confusing so I didn't even try to tackle shortening them. I hung them up and left them there with the long strings and about 10 extra slats all bunched together. Fast forward about five years, I decided to look at videos to see if could grasp how to shorten the blinds. I stumbled upon your video and said to myself, I can do this. This was better than other videos, you explained it so simply!  One set of my blinds was a problem because the little buttons on the bottom were so old they broke apart when I tried to remove them, but the other set did not so thank you very very much!

The best and easiest method by far thank you. After raising the bottom rail to meet the bottom slat I used a couple of small clamps to hold them perfectly in place to attaching the pull strings and plastic buttons and it gave me perfect results. Thanks again
