I actually have it worse than this. I panic applied to a bunch of medical schools without really looking, one of them being Morehouse School of Medicine, also a school mostly filled with black women. I then had a meeting with the damn head professor and vice dean of one of the biggest med schools in the country through some random connection to try and ask for a letter of recommendation. They asked what schools I was interested in and my panicked fucking brain said Morehouse FIRST.

He said “… the historically black college?…”

And my life ended right there my brain packed it up and hasn’t been back since
