Separate Left and Right Channels Premiere Pro

Do you use an external field recorder like a Zoom to record audio for a wedding, interview, or podcast. Do you have trouble syncing that audio to the video you shot in adobe premiere pro? Well in this tutorial I show you how to properly isolate and separate the left/Right stereo channels from a field recorder, sync the field recorder and camera audio in premiere pro, and link the audio and video clips together.

I have the RODE Wireless Pro and recorded my first split track with two microphones so that it puts the mic 1 in the left channel and the mic 2 in the right channel. Your video was perfect to help me duplicate and make them stereo.

I got a Rode Wireless Go ii and record a lower db safety audio track on it. Showing me how to go to audio channels to choose to mimic the left or right channel was super helpful! Thank you!

Dude thank you!!! I've been looking for a fix for this for so long. I thought it had to do with my panning settings, but this really helped me nail down the problem.

Wow, I've been doing this for years but a much longer process. Thanks for saving me time!

Instant like before I even watch this video. This setup (the one in the cover photo) is my personal recommendation for DSLR video makers. You got it (The Right stuff).

Javier!. Well done and nicely produced. Exactly what I needed for Skype calls where two participants are split in stereo mix. One advantage to your 2nd technique is that you can Normalize the audio independently on each channel. Sub'd and thanks again!

Thanks a lot! You just saved my bud. I was wondering how to split my channels. But of course you just duplicate them and assign a certain channel to each of the clips. Why didn't I think of that before!? Thank you so much.

Thanks. This is what I was looking for, but I’m not very proficient with PP, so all a bit too quick for me. Will have to work out how to slow down the steps, so I can replicate them.
Plus you did actions that I’m not familiar with that I guess are covered by other videos.

Can you separate audio to left and right channels in the iPhone? Say the iPhone 12 Max Pro? I'm trying to do that with a dual Rode Wireless Go setup and I am only getting the two tracks as one combined track.
