2:55 Hi, what about Promiscuous Mode on Windows? All wireless cards can assume this mode using Windows? If not, how to check it? Thanks for answers :-)

i like it far more that your long show, just because it is concise and stright, i can't watch the long shows (Hak5) just because it's contain so much junk (in my opinion).

@strickmans typically, no. But like I said, check the Aircrack-ng wiki. Personally I've had very little luck with Broadcom chips in the past.

@GarrettBMXes have you tried putting backtrack linux 5 on a flashdrive using uneboot? from there all you have to do is make sure that you boot from usb and youll be fine. All you need is a flashdrive with 1.8ghz of space which is fairly cheap nowadays.

Promiscuous Mode on a local LAN (that has a switch) will only show multicast frames on Wireshark (we will see broadcast frames when Promiscuous is off / on).
