According to data issued by the National Bureau of Statistics, China's youth unemployment increased to a record level in May. The unemployment rate for young adults aged 16 to 24 reached a record high of 20.8%, breaking the previous high set in April. In cities, the unemployment rate for people of all ages in May was 5.2%. As the economic recovery slows, China lowers a key policy rate for the first time in ten months.
