Definitely the Syrian People suffered for years, but to destroy such palaces is in my humble opinion is completely wrong, Everything should be kept like it was, because afterwards when is finally peace millions of Tourists want to see and pay hard currency for visiting such palaces in order to see and really understand the tragic behind such wealth! Just imagine entrance fee for visiting Windsor castle in England is up to 33£ per ticket and many times its fully booked out ! Even the Greeks understood finally, and restoration has started to repair the former kings palace in order to attract visitors/tourists to pay and visit !..
