Russia corners Zelensky's troops in Bakhmut; Ukrainian Army digs trenches as Putin's men advance

Russian President Vladimir Putin has intensified his offensive to capture the city of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine. The National Guard of Ukraine's deputy commander, Volodymyr Nazarenko, told Ukrainian NV radio that the situation in Bakhmut remains critical as fighting is going round the clock. The fall of Bakhmut would be a modest tactical victory for Putin as it will allow Russian forces to invade the two bigger Ukrainian cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk. Watch this video to know more.

All this could so easily have been avoided by the Kyiv regime accepting a no NATO/EU membership, accepting that they must allow the Russian speaking parts of Ukraine ( the south-East and coastal areas of Ukraine however, the Minsk agreements were just there to buy time for the West to build up the Kyiv military in Order to be used as a weapon against Russia.

It would not be a "modest" tactical victory but rather a major one, as it will open the door to the final battles for the Donbas. Even though Zelensky claimed it to be crucial in his address to the US Congress, its significance is now being downplayed in the Western media.

Bakhmut isn't a "prestige prize" for Russia. To get the Ukranians out of Donbas means to beat them in this town. When the job is done, the roads lie open in all directions. Check out the map! This is a disaster for the Ukranian army. They don't have time to dig down deep. They are on the run now and that's when an army takes the most casualties. Russia will close them into the cauldron and destroy them, just like they did in Severodonetsk! 🇸🇪♥️🇷🇺

The stuff that's going on in Ukraine right now is on a scope and scale of violence we didn't even imagine. This is very different from the last 20 years in which we deployed smallish groups of people to conduct limited activities on a rotational schedule. Everything was quite predictable and containable. The idea of large-scale war like we're seeing in Ukraine requires different levels of readiness, it requires different force models for preparation, it requires different tactics and operational art, and it requires different pieces of kit. (USA is not trained, equipped or prepared, for that kind of fighting)
