I love how you sounded more American doing the British accents than you do speaking in your own accent.

Ryan, you’re not alone in being bad at accents, most Americans can’t do them from anywhere in the world, but Hollywood expects foreign actors to do a perfect American accent!

Received Pronunciation is the most well spoken English and heard the most often in films and TV shows.

Ryan, before you did your imitations, I was a happy man. Afterwards I had to go phone the Samaritans.

Literally crying laughing at your attempt to do any of them 😂 but practice makes perfect 👍🏻

You did a really good impression. Of Dick van Dyke from Mary Poppins.

It's shortened to Llanfair P.G. on envelopes for the post (mail).

Yorkshire should be on there. We're always forgotten about. I'd like to see an American do a broad Leeds accent or a Sheffield accent

I noticed something funny with this, I’m an Aussie and usually have an ear for different British accents but when I tried these ones I completely mangled them 😂

I think the description of Received Pronunciation was somewhat inaccurate as it labelled it as mainly being 'posh'. I would be regarded as a speaker of RP, but I don't sound like I'm in the royal family, I have a neutral Southern sounding accent that might be thought of as a classic news reader accent & hopefully clear & easy to understand by all.

That was so funny Ryan - please, please don't try this again 🤣😅🤣

I would have preferred Alex Jones for the Welsh accent. I love listening to her speaking. (I'm a German living in South Africa)

Geez man! You don't have to beat yourself up about the fact that you can't see the differences, or reproduce them, perfectly, the first time you try to imitate them.😂 Even many born and bred Brits, who can instantly identify other dialects, can't get their tongues completely around some of them! Plus most Brits have grown up hearing these accents. You're hearing them for the first time.

And you've made a 100% improvement on how much you knew about British Accents even one year ago! Think how much more you will know in another years time.😊

1:29 Mate, you have heard NOTHING yet. In the UK you literally cannot go 5 miles without the local accent changing, and often it's much less than that. My work colleagues have at least 6 difference accents, and none of them live more than 20 miles away.

Lol that long Welsh place name, I'm Welsh born and raised & I can't pronounce it lol, it I can do the shorter version Llanfair tho, to pronounce the double L sound, you put your tongue to the roof of your mouth & say Lan & then complete the word. But yeah not many can do our accent, some can get close but not spot on lol, when some try they sound Indian, but fair play at least you had a go, but Ron's accent the guy they had in that video, his accent is t a strong welsh accent, it can be stronger. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I've seen one video clip of a different Welsh weather man have on his screen. He looked at it and said North Wales. They do have a shorter name.

Ryan, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Cornwall have their own languages too, and even then local variations of accent and terminology.

That large Welsh village, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, is usually contracted to Llanfairpwllgwyngyll or Llanfair P.G.

This Village was renamed as a publicity stunt by the Great Western Railways, for tourism.

"This job is bigger than anything that Bridger's done up 'till now!" From the one and ONLY, Original 'The Italian Job' from 1969. Well worth a watch if you like proper little Minis, Batmans' butler (Michael Caine) and a tongue in cheek film, about a gold robbery.
"Werz me coffee cup wih de mold innit?" "I woz breedin dat mold!" Scouse.
