Xiaomi 12 Pro Review | Two Weeks Later...

Reviewing the Xiaomi 12 Pro (Global Version), a premium flagship smartphone rivalling Samsung's Galaxy S22 Ultra as one of the best Androids of 2022, including a full camera test, gaming performance and more. I've been using the Xiaomi 12 Pro as my full-time mobile and enjoyed almost every aspect of it, except for one crucial issue.

That camera tech is among the greatest right now, easily rivalling Samsung and Apple smartphones. You can capture attractive, detail packed photos and video at any time of day, albeit with less natural colours than the Pixel 6 Pro and other rivals. You can even shoot the moon, if that's your bag.

Performance is top notch thanks to the Xiaomi 12 Pro's ultra-fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and effective cooling system. Genshin Impact and other games play on top detail settings without a struggle, even for the duration. Unfortunately battery life is the Achilles Heel here. Vs the Pixel 6 Pro and Oppo Find X5 Pro, this phone struggles to last a full day.

I have found with all my xiaomi, they do a battery drain for about 4 weeks after you bought it. Generally, it fixes it's self and the battery last a lot longer

Great review. I've always been a Samsung person and recently went to upgrade from S10 to S22 but couldn't justify the price. I compared the Xiaomi 11t Pro and 12t Pro but I couldn't see much to pay the difference for the 12t Pro. I'm not a gamer and have never played games on my fone so all the issues I've heard of getting hot has never been an issue. I've been using the 11t Pro for a week now and I love it. The charging is amazing and battery life is great, I charge up too 100% in the morning before work and get home at 17.30 and still have 80% battery. My Samsung S10 would be on 30% by time I get home. Very easy to use and set up. My wife got the iPhone 13 and she had issues setting up and transfering data. I guess if your a big gamer then pay the extra for Xiaomi 12t Pro. Decent phones.

I'm watching this on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. Currently running Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 enhanced. No major problems so far. Only problem is i get ghost touches while gaming sometimes. Im thinking of upgrading to the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Thanks for the great vid 🔥

Believe it or not my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x i purchased in 2017 is still working perfect. The battery only charges to 97% and every now and then 100% but for a phone it's done me proud. I used the XiaomiADB Fastboot tool software to remove all the bloatware so it's not packed with useless crap. The phone battery lasts about 2-3 days with standard use. I like these phones (speaking with experience) I'm here to see if an update is worth it. Maybe not :-) Would you say the 12 is better than the 11?

The material design for changing colors was a pixel exclusive first. Most companies still need to update their software to it.

Can you elaborate on the notification issues you experienced during setup? Do they all work as they should now?

I am using Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro (256GB) for about 15 months. I was an iPhone user. The reason why I bought the Xiaomi was that I needed to change my 2 years old iPhone 8 (which was great BTW). Prior to the iPhone 8 I've used the 6 Plus model for 5 years and it was great for my use. However, even with all these updates (which are actually not that much), sometimes the software is awful. I hate the fact that Xiaomi DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN about the software and that for me is the break point.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a hater, I like the Xiaomi in general, but surely I won't be buying another one, especially for the price of 1000$. No way! For that price, I could easily get an iPhone 13 256GB and I don't see how exactly the Xiaomi 12 would beat it. I am not iPhone fan, its just that the iPhone really worked out well for me and I was expecting something good from Xiaomi, but so far, I am a little disappointed.

This is my first flagship phone since starting to buy my own phones and moving away from my parents and I still love it to this day. The cameras never cease to impress me. I did buy it a bit later on and it was significantly cheaper than its full price, having gotten it on amazon for $620 instead of $1000.
