When you're comparing screens of them, having same wallpaper actually helps viewer to see the difference. 🙂Hope you'll take this suggestions for ur future videos.

I actually dont 100% agree with your conclusion. Here is my conclusion in case anyone cares:

Extras in the box clearly goes to Xiaomi. They unlike Samsung include a charger - not just any charger. A crazy fast one ontop of that.
Fingerprint reader goes to Samsung. Its quicker and more secure.
Ergonomics go to Xiaomi. There are no sharp edges on the 12 Pro, while there are on the S22 Ultra.
Screen is either a tie or barely goes to Samsung. Its at least bigger and doesnt loose as much space to the corners - unfortunately both still have a punchhole.
UI performance is a tie. Both are kinda mediocre atm.
Animation speed is trivial. You can speed up or disable animations in developer options if you find the bothering.
Bloatware is a tie. Both have a whole lot of bloatware but you can just uninstall it so its trivial anway.
Charge times very clearly go to Xiaomi. Xiaomi offers fast charging both wired and wired wireless (yeah, I used these words intetionally), Samsung doesnt.
Performance clearly goes to Xiaomi. And that despite the overheating of the SD 8G1.
Battery life goes to Samsung but is kinda trivial since you can fully recharge the Xiaomi within just 18 minutes.
Loudspeakers is not judgeable from the video. The S22 Ultra is louder, The 12 Pro has some bass.
Gaming is superior on the Xiaomi despite it actually sucking in comparison to some other more gaming oriented phones.
Heat is a tie. The S22 Ultra is a little colder, but only because it doesnt offer performance. So you could even argue that heat goes to Xiaomi, despite it being a touch hotter.

Front facing camera barely goes to Samsung because they offer 4K.
Microphones barely goes to the Xiaomi - It picks up basically no wind noise, while the wind causes clipping on the S22 Ultra. The much higher bitrate makes the S22 Ultra perform better under less windy conditions although the aac codec is quite efficient and as far as I am concerned these record in aac. And barely anyone is complaining about YouTubes audio codec which is also just 128kbps AAC - not even me as a somewhat audiophile who spends 1200€ on his headphone/amp/dac/cables.
Main camera is honestly a tie. Zoom cameras clearly go to Samsung. Ultra wide is a win for Xiaomi. This applies to both Videos and Photos.
Night mode is better on the XIaomi. Portrait mode goes to Xiaomi.

Honorable mention:
The Xiaomi 12 Pro has an IR-blaster built in. These are actually kinda useful. And you can also use them to troll in class.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro unfortuantely only comes with USB 2.0. Thus the transfer speed via the USB cable will be as slow as what you are used to from the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro does not offer IP68 certification. This doesnt mean that its not waterproof - it probably is - but youre probably not gonna make your phone soaking wet anyway. Any if you do, also the Xiaomi 12 Pro should be fine.

It really depends on what you want - but Think of it this way - the Xiaomi is much less expensive. Its still very expensive, but honestly the S22 Ultra is insultingly expensive considering what it offers.

You probably are not going to read this, but I really like your channel. While other tech YouTubers are focusing on neon lights, fancy music and "the feel of the phone in your hand" you are really going in depth with your reviews! The stuttering of the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the overheating issues of the Xiaomi 12 Pro really suprised me. You are really critical with your reviews, I like that.

Go Xiaomi! Using Mi 9 for 3 years of heavy usage like easily 16h a day and abuse still surviving but starting to have issues. Pretty good considering Xiaomi did not enter premium phones back then and this is a mid ranger phone. Waiting to upgrade to the Mi 12 Ultra!

7:49 Thank you for mentioning the UI stutters. They really need to work on that. These are flagship devices, I would expect the UI to be buttery smooth.

Great comparison, thank you very much!

What was funny for me to see is how the Xiaomi 12 Pro actually can shoot better photos than the mighty Samsung S22 Ultra. I did not expect that. But it's clear when looking at photos like those from minute 20:35 - there when it zooms in on the face of the statue, it's night and day difference in the amount of fine detail lost on the S22 Ultra in the eyes of the statue, whereas the 12 Pro not only maintained the eye details very well, BUT also it's so much more noise free. Also the next photo, from 20:42, the brick textures are so much better represented by the 12 Pro, whereas the S22 Ultra smudged everything. Also, it took better night time photos.

I will reiterate, I WAS surprised, but it's nice to see the much better photo quality on the 12 Pro. Which is also a way cheaper phone than the S22 Ultra.

I'll take the 12 Pro all day every day for photography purposes. Excellent noise reduction and much better fine detail preservation capabilities than the S22 Ultra.

Xiaomi has performance option to boost performance. at first I thought when I used performance mode my phone will get hotter but strangely it's cooler than in a balance mode so I required to use performance mode whenever you play heavy games like genshin.

WOW cant believe the image stabilization on Xiaomi 12 Pro is better than S22 U, I think Xiaomi main camera is perfect and night mode is so good.

In my country, the S22 Ultra is 1.5- 2x the price of the Mi 12 Pro. At that price difference, it looks like the 12 Pro is the better deal. The only thing going for Samsung (for me) is their UI and software support.

I bought S20Fe 5G yesterday and running Android 12. Zero stutters, zero lag. Awesome phone. But while purchasing it in Samsung showroom, I tried S22 Ultra running Exynos 2200 also and for some reason it didn't feel as snappy as S20fe 5G

Let's be honest....
I bought S22 Ultra... Been using It for a month and on Wednesday I'm buying Mi12Pro... S22 Ultra with Exynos processor is a crappy brick that has a poor battery life, overheating, freezing and user interface from s8+-nothing changed. I've tried MI12Pro in shop and I'm going back to Xiaomi because Samsung is not worth 1350eur that I've payed for It. I'm so dissapointed at S22 Ultra, only thing that is good is the camera, but I don't need 100x zoom and 10x optical zoom. I'll never buy Samsung again, God bless Xiaomi!

Xiaomi offers charger, lower price and quality is overall similar (although this is an unfair comparison once s22 ultra is placed on the level of say Xiaomi 12 ultra)

Can I make a slight suggestion? Perhaps when U do another “vs” video, make sure everything on each phone is the same or close to the same. Like a big one that I think matters is make sure the background on both phones are the same. That way we literally get a side by side comparison where we can see the quality differences and clarity difference, etc!!
Cheers 🍻

I love the square corners, to look at. Round corners aren't so bad but they look weird/ugly often because it doesn't match with the phone, like in this case.

Just got my S22 Ultra Yesterday. So happy that we get Snapdragon this time in Oceania. Loving the phone overall so far with my set up and testing but this OS is going to need some patches.

This is a great comparison! And I have to point out I live in the US and have been using a Huawei mate 20 x 4G phone for over 2 years. My last UI software update was in July of 21 and it's still running on Android 10. then in November of last year, I bought a Samsung S21 ultra. When you talk about glitches random shutdowns and lockups my carrier locked Samsung phone has glitched out more in the past 5 months, then the Mate 20x did in the past 2 years.
Xiaomi phones have failed me. I had a Mi 9t pro with the screen so bad it would hurt your eyes . And then a Mi Max 3 that was wonderful until the earpiece failed and I could not get support in the US along with the second phone that failed my granddaughter because the charging port would no longer work.
I think they aspire to be like Huawei but until they slow down on their production and increase on their quality and support they're not going to do it!
I recently purchased a pair of redmi airdots 3 pros with high expectations because I loved the originals that are still working. They were so bad they may have been counterfeit.
I always enjoy your reviews and the photographic views of Spain.
I would love to go there someday it looks so beautiful ✌️

About the USB, idk if it's just me, but transferring via USB C to my laptop or iPad has always been faster on my Xiaomi handsets (particulary Poco F2 Pro, actually faster than the 11T Pro in my testing) compared to Samsung phones (only tested with S and Note phones) .
Keep in mind I am sending huge video files from one to another
