The Sampotes became absolutely ridiculous with the introduction of Melee Afflictions, it is one of the most versatile melees greatly increasing the potential of MANY different frames as shown in the video, with many more I may not have even considered. Enjoy :).

Afflictions doesn't really mutliply or duplicate (even though with the sampotes it sure feels like it) it just adds 6 stacks of the status type that is on the enemy again, however on the sampotes each small extra slam trigger (8 times on light attack, 4 times on heavy) applies 6 of these stacks. I prefer the light attack as it lets you scale your combo multiplier and thus your damage, it's also 8 procs instead of 4 on the heavy.

Nezha was dealing 200-800k per toxin proc, still not bad, but not 200m xD.

Sampotes is so much better with melee influence, because if there are stairs or a slight incline the sampotes slam attack won't hit the enemy, it is so inconsistent without influence that it's not fun

if it adds to every status from all sources, then just run cedo :)
I run it on Rhino, which you can now build "not for iron skin" since the new jade eximuses exist (so no need for armor stacking anymore), and with Cedo + Sampotes you get the most use out of Roar, now add hound to spread statuses even more and with 160% efficiency spam Rhinos 4 to slow and lift everyone for ultimate room-wide CC
the cool thing is that Sampotes can get kills on its own even without the arcane so you don't have to rely purely on DoTs/statuses but it helps

With Saryn I've hit the damage cap with a toxin proc on this thing. Absolute monster with afflictions.

Been experimenting with all hammer with afflictions but the sampotes really benefits from it thanks to the extra explosion, Im still trying to find a good synergy with some of my warframe.

If Tenet Exec was able to proc statuses on shockwaves would be good on its own.

With status frames I'd say both perform just as good.

If DE were to nerf something most likely will be the forced ragdolls being able to proc Afflictions through Overguard and status immunity.

Just cause I don’t see any comments mentioning this, if the enemy is in another animation (like the burning animation) they will not get launched into the air which will make melee afflictions a lot less effective

I build my sampotes similar to your first build, but I use it on lavos for valence fusion. I genuinely have trouble using any other melee now except glaives
