My roommate and I did "stupid roommate Christmas" this year. I tried SO HARD to find a peach candle to buy her, but it was useless. That's how I learned the true spirit of the Candle; it must be given before it can be given away. You cannot buy it.

My boyfriend thought this was too oddly specific to be true. Then I took out a medium-sized plain peach pillar candle from Caldor's I received as a gift in 1997, and he nearly died from laughing. He now also believes in the One True Candle.

It's 2018. The day after Christmas. Target has candles 50% off. I unconsciously started singing " The Candle" refrain to myself. Another woman stops me and laughs " I was thinking the exact SAME THING!" # bondedbythecandle
