“Some kids like to play, others just sort of wait for adulthood”

This was my childhood summed up in a sentence.

That balcony needs a built in rain function so you can sit inside and watch the waterdrops run down the window.

I had a daycare kid named Mark who was just like this. He was a sweetheart and almost never talked to anyone or played with the other kids. I’m sure he would have loved a well

"Because you have everything. EVERYTHING is for YOU. And this ONE THING is for HIM" that was the best line!!

No one seems to give credit to Cecily Strong, whose voiceover skills are half the reason why these faux ads are funny.

this is one of my favorite snl sketches of all time because, i shit you not, once had “a well for the backyard” on my christmas list when i (15 M) was like 8 for this *exact* reason.
i also was crying one time when i was little and tried doing that thing disney princess do (when they laying face down on their bed crying into their arms) and then sat up after a few seconds and thought “how to they breathe???” and just cried normally.

a lot of my childhood felt like me waiting to be taken seriously as an adult now I realize that adults are a lot like children who are only kept in check by financial responsibilities.

Emma Stone just makes this sketch. Her performance as the nurturing mother is pitch perfect hysterical

In all honesty this skit hit me in the feels. I felt it. Like I, a 22 year old dude, would LOVE to have that. And plus, the line “this ONE thing is for him” line is iconic

"I mean it's KIND OF like that, but that's just a part of it..." so accurate.

Dad: "So what's he putting in there?"
Mom: "A secret."
I don't know why but that made me lose it 😂😂

So much great writing in this sketch.
Dad calls the boy, multiple times, no answer.
Mom almost whispers, "Spencer?"
Kid immediately answers, "Yes, mom?"
And they just leave it hanging.

This was a little too real. Emma is mom goals

That last part where his mom defends him is so good! I know a bunch of people have mentioned it, but it really is a powerful things for us kids who "just sort of waited for adulthood". I always wanted a Barbie, but the truth is, I just really wanted someone to defend me.

The haunting, ethereal music really seals the epic-ness of the sketch.

The part where he's shoving his face in his moms clothes is so true

"do you want to watch 'Y tu mamá también''?" is both a underrated line and also an aggressively obscure reference and I love it

That boy's a good actor, I felt his sensitivity!

He filled the well with his own precious tears.
