U should do the live version of this. It is incredible the first time he did it live he preformed it on a awards show and brought soldiers and their family on stage as he sang he got a standing 🧍‍♀️o for it. I highly recommend even though u seen this and reacted to it. The live preference hits different when u see it u should also do that

I appreciate your heartfelt reaction. It's a hard song to listen to, but it's a song that needed to be sung. I could say that same thing about John Prine's Sam Stone, another song that definitely needed to be written and definitely needs to be heard. Hope you give it a listen.
