The 7 lenses he will keep (based on the final image) are:

Makinon (unknown lens)
Vivitar Series 1 28mm f/1.9
Zenitar MC MIR-24M 35mm f/2
ISCO-Göttingen Iscolor 50mm f/2.8
Helios 44-2 58mm f/2
Zoom-NIKKOR Auto 43-86mm f/3.5
KMZ Helios 40-2 85mm f/1.5

DSLR Video Shooter thanks for the tip off. I just ordered my lens! Such a steal. Ugly vintage glass is hype on modern sharp sensors! Love vintage Japanese.

The Russian/East German/Ukrainian lenses are amazing too. I just can't justify them for my corporate filmmaking work. If you are shooting narrative, wow. What a great deal for almost anamorphic bokeh!

Cheers everyone!

This lens flares so beautifully! Btw I can‘t wait for your video on the lens that you used in the beginning of this video. The bokeh has some very unique characteristics.

I looked up this lens and the first thing I found was "The original Nikon 43-86mm is the worst lens Nikon has ever made."
"When people say zooms aren't sharp, zooms flare, and zooms have a lot of distortion, it is because this horrible lens set these expectations."
Although looking at the footage it looks cool to me haha

Caleb!! I know I'm partial to the whole testing vintage lenses thing...but in my mind this is a SUPER good niche to get into...and in my opinion if you did even a super short lens commentary for not just your KEEPERS, but also for those 100...it could serve as a nice "evergreen" resource for a ton of people (lots more YouTube traffic, etc.) Please note: Not saying in depth on each, just a 10 second commentary on each one.

Finally a lens I got before you. I've been a lifelong nikon shooter and this lense it's a tiny creative giant.

Lol, maybe the first time I've seen a video pop up featuring a lens I actually have. Great little vintage lens!

By some miracle I found one for $40 after sorting through so many $70-100 ones. Thanks Caleb for this tip!

Dude, absolutely LOVING the Soligor 35-70 you listed the other day! Can't wait to see what else you put up there, you've definitely piqued my interest into vintage lenses!

I used vivitar 28-90mm 2.9-3.5
Absolutely in love with it. Sharp & good flares

Hey Caleb not sure why but the audio in this video is substantially quieter than your others. My phone is on full blast and it's still quiet. Your other vids don't have the issue.

Ha ha! Love the shoutout to Gerald. Also love that you are getting into vintage lenses.

Another flare-tastic vintage lens with somewhat similar character is of course the Canon FD 35-105.

Crazy how iconic this kind of flare is, it almost looks like the classic Photoshop lens flare effect
