The following video shows you how to solve the following question on Algebraic graphs mainly on cubic graphs. The methods includes mainly understanding calculus and finding the turning points using first derivative of x. These are the questions covered in the video:

Example: Given the equation 2x^3-5x^2+4x
1. Calculate the coordinates of the turning point of f . (5)
2. Prove that the equation has only one real route. (3)
3. Sketch the graph of f clearly indicating the intercepts with the axes and the turning points. (3)
4. For which values of x will the graph of f be concave up? (3)

Sir for question 2, how come when you factorize you do find the x-intercepts, it's only when you use the quadratic formula there's no real roots
