I love my TWSBI Eco for the same reasons you love your Pelikan! It feels so good to have a dependable favorite pen that always does what I want.

The uniball air pens are so nice & satisfyingly to draw with

Nice. I remember when a .7 was a "medium" and HS /Uni students wouldn't buy anything over a .5 which was the "fine" point. The generation of College Ruled paper. 😊
I like that Air though.

I never really buy pens online and I think uniball make the best broadly-available pens that you can expect to pick up in a shop

Awesome news! I also have one of the brush pens too. They look like great pens to use even when just Plein Air or Urban Sketching! Thank you for recommending these. I will have to see about getting some!

Thanks for the video. I do like uni ball AIR pens, but found that quite a few started 'Bubbling'. It can happen straight after removing the cap or during painting/ writing.

Uni ball air is also my go to when travelling! Great pen… and great video! 👍

I really like the signo pens but I find they dry up quite fast, the air looks lovely, I’ll keep an eye out for that one 😊

Thanks. It's nice to know what still works best.

Never had a problem flying with a fountain pen, I make sure the tip is upright throughout the flight (or empty the piston fill before flying) and carry ink in a small leak-proof nalgene bottle (don't need to bring the whole bottle)...the bottle takes up less volume than several disposable pens

I've tried the signo, but because i pencil drawings first and sometimes the paper gets slightly oily from my palm, the ink tends to skip a lot or not write at all on some parts of thr paper. I never have that problem with the air, though. When traveling, i keep a stash of both size uniball airs and a twsbi diamond, which seems to hold way more ink than the pelikan m200 (i have one of them too) and can be disassembled for cleaning. The twsbi just isn't my main pen because their extra fine nib is broader than the pelikan's fine nib.

Love your helpful reviews Teoh! 🥰 I'm searching for archival ink ballpoint refills (Staedtler 458 refill has been recommended). Always good to know about these lovely waterproof gel pens!! Take care 🖤❣

its amazing how your demonstrator m200 became a black one over the years lol

Uniball Eye is a very good pen as well and it comes with a waterproof and fadeproof ink . That is what the manufacturer claims and it is written on the pen as well, but I have also tested the ink ( just in case) and it is indeed waterproof and fadeproof.

Thanks Teoh. I like signo roller ball pens. I have a hard time with filled brush pens leaking.

I don't do much drawing with pens lately, as I prefer working with a mechanical pencil from Faber Castell for sketching and then drawing mostly digital. But as for favorite pens, I love the Pentel Brush Sign Pen and the TOMBOW Fudenosuke Brush pen. Other brush pens like the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen are usually too soft and too hard to control, but these two pens are really nice. The brush tips are stiff enough to be used more like a gel pen, but with a bit more pressure modulation.

I really love the Uni Ball Air. Although they are meant to be disposed when empty you can easily refill them. BTW you should clean your Pelikan from time to time :D

Hi Teoh, have you tried the Lumos from Tom’s Studio yet? It’s great, and says No to disposables, got to be a good thing 😊

Hi Teoh, I've found the Uniball Signo a bit dry and skipping (perhaps I just got a dodgy batch?), so I'm glad to hear your recommendation of the Uniball Air which I haven't tried yet. Can I ask what ink you fill your brushpens with, please? Thank you for your excellent videos!
